How YJMF Got Started

I don’t know about you, but our parents are always nagging us about the junk all over the house. The thing is, half the junk isn’t even ours! One day, on a road trip back from vacation, my Dad had a brilliant idea. What if we sold all that junk in the house, and used the money to buy us kids stocks?! Of course we loved the idea — and we set about planning our first yard sale. As time went on, we figured why should we keep this idea to ourselves? And Your Junk My Future was born! We hope you’ll be able to convince your parents to sell some of their junk, so you can use the money for your very own stock investment account and start growing your future.

Zahir

So, my name is Zahir Ajabu Harrison.  Right now, I am 11 years old.  Up to now, a lot of fun things have happened to me in this family like being the champion in this state for breaststroke. And right now, because of puberty, I’m going through a lot of new interests and some of those interests include archery, bungee jumping, sky diving and coding as some of the new things I want to try.  That was kind of a tiny autobiography and yeah!  I think YJMF is a good idea because if you have something you’re not using, if you sell it to someone who is going to use it, that’s profit for both of you — money that you can use to start your stock account and something they can use that they wanted.  All in all, that’s a good deal!

Nasir

Hi, my name is Nasir.  I was born on December 19, 2006 at 11:45am.  I live with my Mom, Dad and brother, Nzinga, Joel and Zahir Harrison.  I have three dogs, Ramses, Isis and Sandy.  My favorite sport is golf and my second favorite sport is swimming.  My favorite subject in school is science because I just like mixing chemicals and seeing what they will do.  My favorite colors are red and pink.  I like the idea of Your Junk My Future because it’s a good way to teach kids about the stock market and because it is kid friendly without a lot of big words.
